Her smile was enough to subdue him. Enough to make him dismiss her scent.

He just held her in his arms, took her into his confidence. Into his bed.
She wasn't a virgin.

He knew then.

He sliced her open right there on the bed, watched her face change into Rogue's once more before she died, the blue scales melt into smooth untouchable skin.
The next day he rode out of town, leaving three hundred cash to help cover expenses.
